Full-Time Personal Trainer (No Doubles, PTO, No Sales Required)

Overland Park, KS
Full Time
Mid Level

I can teach someone to be a great coach. I can't teach someone to care.

So at BridgeFit, we hire people who love helping others. Then we build the coaching from there. You'll need to already be certified (more on that below), but past that, I care more about who you are than your résumé.

About BridgeFit

We're a personal training gym for adults 40+ in Overland Park, offering small-group and 1-on-1 training. We've been voted Best Personal Training in Johnson County four years running, with 100+ five-star reviews and Best Gym 2026. That comes from a coaching team that takes the work seriously and keeps improving.

We're not a "who's the best" type of gym. No yelling, no egos. We pride ourselves on detailed coaching, and we meet people where they're at. Members and coaches know each other by name, and our team works the same way.

Why coach at BridgeFit

  • Competitive pay. Coaching pays $25 to $33 an hour. Full-time coaches usually work 35 to 40 hours a week total: 25 to 33 hours coaching and 7 to 13 paid hours for prep, programming, and meetings. That's about $43,000 to $64,000 a year.
  • Paid prep time. Most gyms only pay when a client is in front of you. We pay for the work that makes sessions great.
  • No sales required. Your job is to coach. No quotas, no packages to push.
  • Consistent schedule. Set shifts, no doubles, no last-minute changes.
  • Professional development. Structured onboarding, a proven coaching system, $500 a year toward continuing education, and expert speakers we bring in.
  • Room to grow. Our Director of Training started as an intern. Coaches who want more can also take on consultations with new members, which opens up more hours and higher pay. As we grow, so can you.
  • A supportive team. We work together and hold each other to a high standard.
  • PTO for coaches who are here for the long term.

Who we're looking for

Maybe you're early in your career and eager to learn. Maybe you're an experienced coach who's tired of the franchise model, with the doubles, the sales quotas, and feeling like just a number. If either sounds like you, we should talk.

The right person:

  • Puts people first
  • Brings consistent, positive energy to every session
  • Communicates well with adults of all ages, especially 40+
  • Enjoys working with people who are new to exercise or starting over
  • Is certified (NASM, ACE, ISSA, or similar) and CPR/AED certified (required)

I read every application personally.
